Two tier Disney princess pink cake

Another cake made for a little princess...this two tier Disney princess pink cake is a classic Victoria sponge cake made with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream filling. To finish it has been covered in fondant with hand-made fondant embellishments. All things except the princesses are edible...

The accompanying fairy cakes are white fairy cakes with pink vanilla swirl buttercream and hand-made fondant toppers.

Totally lemony fly away cupcakes!

I have always wanted to try royal iced butterflies, so I gave it a go and here's how they turned out...

To go with the vibrant butterfly colours I thought I'd go with a bold cupcake flavour...Lemon!

These lemon flavoured cupcakes are topped with a dollop of hidden lemon curd and a swirl of lemon buttercream. The royal iced butterflies are perched on top to finish....To be eaten before they fly away!

Pretty in pink

Cakes are traditionally known for their 'prettiness'. This is why I have compiled a separate page for my pink cakes and cupcakes. These cakes are ideal for any birthday girl or young lady and simply look the part as well as tasting fab!

Chess cupcakes

Today I baked some novelty cupcakes on order for a birthday boy. The combination of vanilla versus chocolate went perfectly with the chess theme as well as providing a variety of flavours for the consumers.

On the dark side are soft muffin-like cupcakes topped with fluffy chocolate fudge buttercream and chocolate buttons, whilst on the light side we have a selection of fondant topped white cupcakes with a light and airy vanilla buttercream frosting.

Chocolate versus vanilla: which would you choose?
