Floral Crown Cake

'Floral crowns' are a great way to enhance bridal beauty, but ever thought of crowning a cake? Well this design does just that. It's a perfect cake for spring/summer weddings with it's soft tones and touches of the traditional 'whites'.  The side-bow adds an elegant touch and 'completes the look'. 

This cake was donated for a silent auction for a Macmillan fund-raiser event held at a local venue.

Last weekend we celebrated my son, Mikaal's 'ameen' (the completion of the reading of the Holy Quran). This was a proud moment for me, I must say, and so I wanted to create a cake which was reflective of my feelings of joy and celebration. As my son is usually so keen on 'themed' cakes I thought it would be impossible to create a cake that would please him as well as being right for the occasion, but as you can see from the smile on his face, he was more than happy with the end result. 

A four tier  fully iced cake, adorned with celebratory 'bunting' and a signature plaque for the main man of the moment, Mikaal...
