Novelty Birthday Cake for Dad


This novelty birthday cake was made for a special dad who likes to watch his TV.
It is made from pound cake (which I prefer to Victoria Sponge) and is filled with strawberry jam and vanilla butter cream. The toppers are all edible and hand-made...

Two tier Disney princess cushion cake


This weekend I was given the task of a two tier Disney princess cushion cake for a four year old birthday girl. This was my first attempt at a cushion cake and was very challenging and exciting. This is how my cushion turned out. 

It was made out of two 8 inch madeira cakes and filled with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream and covered in fondant...



The end result. A two tier Disney princess cake. The bottom tier was made from a 12 inch victoria sponge filled with raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream and covered in fondant.

Strawberry roses

This is a four layer buttery white cake with strawberry jam filling and strawberry flavour Swiss meringue buttercream frosting. I have wanted to make a ombre rose cake for a while and love the shaded pink/white effect. This cake is ideal for a mother's day/birthday cake for any lady.
